The diving club “Roniti se mora” is going to clean Zagreb’s Jarun lake this Saturday, July 9.
This is a continuation of the recognizable and socially responsible environmental campaign Think Green, through which the Club, with its volunteers and partners, has been enthusiastically and methodically cleaning sea and freshwater surfaces for the last 11 years, educating children and all those interested in the preservation of animal and plant life and the environment as a whole.
Also, ecologically aware divers, through the accompanying program, transfer knowledge to younger generations about diving as a discipline, equipment and the importance of a responsible approach to nature.
This weekend, after successful actions along the Croatian coast and islands, under the slogan and as the part of the Think Green action, they are going to dive for the 27th time, as they actively start the cleaning of Zagreb’s largest lake and access corridors just like every year.
Complete logistical support, as during previous actions in other cities, is provided by the CIOS group, which will properly transport and dispose of all collected waste.
The upcoming activities will significantly contribute to a higher quality of the summer season, as many fellow citizens will spend their summer in this urban oasis.
The arrival of volunteers from all over Croatia is expected this time, and the Diving Club “Roniti se mora” invites all interested fellow citizens to participate, with registration through the e-mail address ronitisemora@gmail.com.
