Apply for free waste collection

Quick and easy, 24 hours a day, each and every day - apply online for free waste collection!

By properly managing each type of waste, we protect the environment, and therefore ourselves.

More

Many used raw materials, after collection and processing, are being reused, i.e. recycled (recovered), and they enter a new cycle of production. For example, scrap iron is used for the production of iron in ironworks, and used car tires are used for the production of rubber products. It is especially important to dispose of toxic, non-biodegradable and hard-to-degrade waste in an ecological manner, as well as most electrical and electronic waste containing hazardous components.

Waste removal, as well as the recycling process, i.e. final disposal, is free for you. Collected waste is recycled in accordance with the highest standards of environmental protection and returned to production as a secondary raw material. Part of the waste that cannot be further recycled is processed and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. The authorized concessionaire for waste collection undertakes to protect the privacy of the application.

What can you recycle?

Plastic

It takes 500 years for a discarded bottle to decompose. So start recycling plastic today

Plastic is a material derived from petroleum. Discarded into the environment, plastic needs up to 500 years to decompose. By recycling plastic, we can melt it and transform it into new products, bottles, pens, garden furniture, toys, clothes, sofa stuffing and cushions. Burning four plastic bags consumes the amount of oxygen that a human being needs in one day. There are enough reasons to start sorting out plastic today.

Wood waste

Do not dispose of it in the environment, but take it to a recycling yard

It is forbidden to dispose of furniture parts, wooden packaging or waste generated during construction in the environment. Such waste must be brought to a recycling yard, where it will be recycled to the greatest extent possible in order to reduce the need to use materials from natural, non-renewable sources. The construction of various buildings in the world consumes as much as 40% of all natural raw materials.

Electrical and electronic waste

By recycling we can use numerous raw materials in EE devices, which are valuable for making new products

All equipment and devices that depend on electricity are considered hazardous waste. For example, refrigerators, air conditioners and other cooling devices that contain freon gas. If such devices are improperly disposed of in the environment, freon may be released into the air, which damages the ozone layer, creating ozone holes. The elements that EE devices contain can be very dangerous for human health and harmful to the environment, so it is important to collect them properly and dispose of them separately from the rest of the waste. By calling the free number 0800 02 04, authorized collectors will come and pick up such waste, which will then be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. This allows the usage of raw materials from EE devices, which are valuable for making new products or equipment.

Vehicle waste and car tyres

97% of scrap cars can be recycled

Everyone is crazy about cars, but once they become old, malfunctioning, unusable, they often end up polluting the environment. Disposal of car wrecks and tires in public areas is prohibited and punishable by a fine. Such waste is to be taken to recycling yards where it is disposed of in an environmentally safe way. In Croatia, 97% of waste vehicles are recycled and reused as a valuable raw material used for making new products: car parts, speed bumps, children playgrounds’ surfaces, wall paint, furniture, radiators, window panes... There is is always a way.

Glass

Timeless, practical and always ready for recycling

In the process of making glass, riverbeds are being destroyed because of the sand used in the production of glass, a lot of energy is consumed, and a large amount of harmful gases are released into the air. A discarded glass bottle can pollute the environment for more than a thousand years. Why allow this when glass can be infinitely recycled and reused? Every 6 tons of recycled glass equals one less ton of carbon dioxide released into the environment – an amount released by one car during four months.

Metal

It only takes six weeks for a can to be recycled and become a new product

Cans, tins, aluminum foil and other items made of aluminum, iron (steel) and copper are produced from ores that belong to non-renewable energy sources. Their production requires a huge quantity of water and energy, so they are a raw material that is worth recycling. In just six weeks a can can be recycled and appear in a store as a new product or as a part of refrigerators, cars, planes, spacecraft... All of this comes with great energy savings (95%!) and conserves natural resources of our planet.

Paper

By recycling paper, we save forests, do not pollute water, save energy and natural resources

Imagine, in order to make just a few notebooks, it is necessary to cut down one tree that took as many as 30 years to grow. For the production of recycled paper, 50% less water and energy is used, and not one tree! Paper waste can be recycled up to seven times; it can take various forms and be processed so that it resembles textiles or leather in appearance and texture. So protect the environment by recycling notebooks, letters, textbooks, newspapers and other paper and cardboard packaging.

Bio-waste

Excellent organic fertilizer and soil for flowers is obtained from bio-waste in 9 to 12 months

Food leftovers and other kitchen, garden and green waste are ideal for bio-waste disposal. When as much different, chopped plant materials as possible are mixed, in 9 to 12 months you get an excellent organic fertilizer and soil for flowers. This kind of bio-waste is extremely useful, unlike the one disposed in landfills where it creates methane gas, which in contact with air can cause fire or explosion.
